Our story began when we met in the spring of 2012 at Alta High School in Sandy, Utah. I had the biggest crush on Braden, and I chased him all summer until we finally started dating. We dated for a year, then Braden went on his LDS mission to Alaska for two years. I wrote him while I finished high school and began college at Brigham Young University to pursue my collegiate soccer career and degree. After those two long years, Braden returned home in the summer of 2015, and then we were married in December of 2015. Our favorite things to do include running, road and mountain biking, alpine touring, resort skiing, and boating. We love spending time in the outdoors, meeting new people, creating new friendships, and learning all that we can from our experiences.
How We Found Our Love of Film
After I finished my college soccer career and Business Marketing Degree at BYU, I became the social media marketing manager for a local running store and started creating content for their social media platforms with my GoPro and Karma Drone. I would make Braden come to help me capture more footage. One of us would get aerial footage while the other was working on ground. After several months of creating videos, we realized that this is our passion. Soon after, we invested in better camera gear and enrolled in a film school to accelerate our learning and to create higher quality content. We have now founded our own company, Bowen Films, and are currently producing videos for many individuals, products, and businesses. To see what we are up to now, check out our YouTube Channel. “Vision without action is just a dream, action without vision just passes the time, and vision with action can change the world.” –Nelson Mandela
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” –Calvin Coolidge
